Counting Vowels #42 – Paices Wood Country Park
This small park is another of my favourite walks, around the fishing lakes (Please don’t let dogs swim in them) past the new dipping pond which is looking good, and through the woodlands, full of primroses and bluebells in spring, Foxgloves in summer, blackberries in the autumn, and of course mud in winter.
Lots of birds, butterflies and deer also if you look carefully in early June you may see some orchids
This is a short walk of around a mile
Finding the entrance can be confusing for those not familiar with the area so I have added a Trailhead for the entrance.
