This cache makes an excellent starting point for a days caching around Moffat. Situated opposite Station Park and very close to the information board which shows a number of 'Moffat Walks' it should equip you with all the information needed to find a number of local caches whilst also providing the option of family fun on the boating lake or putting green in the park.
Station Park has free car parking and is open all year round. Full of history and character the park is a lovely place to stop for a break on long journeys. Equally it is a nice place to spend the day. The boating lake and putting green are usually open from easter to the end of september most weekends and all week during the school holidays. The cache is hidden in a very public place although it is out of sight and quite difficult to reach. Stealth will be required as in the summer this is a busy spot. Short folk will need a 'hooch up' or a taller caching buddy. Its hidden in a space exactly 48mm wide so bring a ruler to help you find the cache.
