Geocache Description:


Having bought all the farmland surrounding Duncan Down a property developer submitted plans to build houses on the entire plot.

These plans were vigorously opposed and eventually resulted in a compromise which saw 3 fields given over to Duncan Down which will double its size, with planning permission granted for housing to be built on the remaining land.

This cache is close to one of the two new wildlife ponds dug out along the course of Gorrell stream.

The field beyond, is one of the 3 fields which will be turned into wildlife meadows.

THIS CACHE CANNOT BE REACHED FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREAM.
