This cache is placed along the riverside trail at English Park in Altavista. Altavista is a small town of about 3,000 - 3,500 people in south central Virginia. It isn't full of caches, so we decided we would place one here.
The easiest (and shortest) way to get to the cache is by parking at the end of the road of the park by the picnic tables. From there, it is about a 0.5 or 0.75 mile walk. We encourage you to walk the entire trail though, because it is a bit of a hidden gem and very friendly for everyone (including pets). The cache is in the woods roughly 100 feet off of the main trail. There is a trackable and unactivated geocoin waiting in the cache for the FTF.
