Geocache Description:

Tom and I have been interested in ancestry for a long time, so when we noticed this tiny cemetery along the side of the road we just had to stop! There are only a few family members buried here, along a road that bears their last name. Immigrating from Ireland in 1802 were Hugh St Clair (1765-1832), his wife Rebecca Beatty (1768-1859), and their four oldest children. Their youngest daughter, Rebecca was rumored to have been born during the trip to America on the ship. Hugh was a grist mill and sawmill owner in Westmoreland County. He's not interred in this plot. After his death, his wife came to Johnstown to live with her daughter, Rebecca. Enclosed in the cache you'll find some interesting information about the few folks who've called this place their final resting place. Parking will be along side the road, we were able to pull off and park to visit this area. There is room for maybe one car. Upslope end of the frontage is very soft. Please watch your children as folks driving past would most likely not expect to see someone crossing here.
