"Poppy Fields" Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
(California poppy, golden poppy, California sunlight, cup of gold) is a species of flowering plant in the Papaveraceae family, native to the United States and Mexico. It is an ornamental plant flowering in summer, with showy cup-shaped flowers in brilliant shades of red, orange and yellow (occasionally pink). It is also used as food or a garnish. It became the official state flower of California in 1903. This spot is away from the more crowded Walker Canyon and should be manageable. Suggest exiting Indian trail & follow road along freeway & cut in before reaching Lake Street. Hide is just off trail, no need to wander in the fields...
