This plot of land used to belong to one of the Keilmanns. As family started to die, they offered this plot of land. The front entrance used to be the back of the cemetery, but when the field flooded the wagons couldn’t get through. So then they paved a road around and the cemetery “turned”. In this cemetery it was opened to the families in the area.
You will find several generations from the families here. You will also find descendants from the Canary Islander families from 1731 that helped establish San Antonio .
You will find the cache in the new back of the cemetery next to a Weaver grave in a can box with Dios De los Muertos design. Please be respectful of the graves and the mourners that may be here.
