This cache is part of a series of 20 caches that we have placed at Stark County’s newest park, Tam O’ Shanter. The property was previously home to the Tam O’ Shanter Golf Course, also known as ‘Tammy,’ that closed at the end of the 2018 season after 90 years in business. The park includes three scenic loops (Orange, Green, and Blue) that total 3.5 miles and pass through valleys and mixed prairies with a wide variety of trees. The trails are a mix of asphalt, gravel, and natural surfaces. The park also offers a pavilion with tables, a portable restroom, storm shelters, and opportunities for wildlife viewing and birding.
Important Notes Regarding This Series:
- YOU WILL NEED TWEEZERS FOR SOME OF THE HIDES.
- The color of loop in the cache title indicates which trail you should use to access the cache – please use the trails instead of crisscrossing the park.
While the trails tend to not be too busy, please keep an eye out for other people.
The containers range in size from micro to regular and everything in between.
