Targeting E'ville History
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache will educate you about some local geography and history of what was at this location before it became a shopping center. You'll learn about the Bay's moving shoreline, E'Ville's history as blue -collar town of steel mills, factories, and canneries, as well as racetracks, speakeasies and brothels, and about Key Route street car rapid commute system into SF which had a terminal near here until 1939. Bring a pen or pencil to sign the log and this may also be useful or having some other TOTT to extract the hide. The cache is accessed from the public sidewalk so that walking or biking or wheel chairing there is easy, but you cannot park on the street. Ample parking is available yards away at the shopping center. If arriving by automobile, park towards the South East corner of the lot then walk around the fence to the public sidewalk outside the lot to access the cache.
