Geocache Description:

South entrance to the town of Ayr, welcome. Named in 1840; the territory was originally a purchased settlement of 94,305 acres from Joseph Brant of Six Nations. Eventually the area was sold to a wealthy Scottish immigrant, William Dickson in 1816. In 1840, the town became known as Ayr because it was assigned to the Post Office. Enjoy! :) Congrats Shae-Lynn for FTF!
