The 365 Emeralds Challenge
This is a challenge cache and the container is hidden at the posted coordinates.
The 365 Emeralds Challenge is a homage to the traditional geocache type and a variation on the conventional Find a Cache on Every Day of the Year/Fill in Your Calendar Challenge.
For this challenge you must have found a traditional geocache on every day of the year. That is, fill in your 365 days of caching calendar with Traditional caches finds only. Your traditional cache finds need not be consecutative, and while finding a traditional cache on Leap Day is a bonus and will be displayed in the checker if you have done so, it is Not required to complete this challenge.
All past traditional finds count, any size traditional cache container counts. So all the past emerald green cache icons you have found will help you qualify for this challenge.
As required for all new challenges, I have included a checker at the bottom of the page.
The output of your checker should have one cache filled into every calendar date - excluding 2/29.
My completed calendar is pictured below:
The container is a true small, a round plastic jar spray painted black with a Geocaching logo on the side. I have given a direct hint and included a spoiler photo of the cache location.
Even if you don’t qualify, feel free to stop by, sign the log and post a note on the cache page.
This cache is located in one strand of Portland’s Emerald Necklace, aka the Collins Sanctuary, so enjoy your time in the green forest. parking coordinates are provided.
Thanks for looking. Enjoy the 365 Emeralds Challenge and the cache.
