"It's that time of year now that Spring is in the air
When the caching posse go and tidy up somewhere
The previous CITO's have all been on Tuesdays
Now's your chance to get a badge if you have working ways
From Denaby Main to the ouskirts of Clowne
No matter where you live, you can simply come on down
Hold a picker in the air, put some litter in a sack
Have a cup of tea, then go off down a track
Find some tupperware and write you name in the log
Form a new friendship; you can even bring your dog!"
Yes it's the time of year when we have a Spring clean and earn a souvenir (if you've not got it already). The local conservation group do a sterling job picking litter around the nature reserve, but there aren't that many of them so I'm sure they would like a bit of help, especially round the eastern end of the valley. Litter-pickers, bags and gloves will be provided; just bring appropriate clothing. There will be hot drinks and some snacks too. Don't worry if 10.00 on a Sunday morning is too early for you - any help will be appreciated, so just come when you're ready. If you've not been before there are lots of caches to find in the valley. My work number is 07713158616 if you need to call.
