HBD-N 6.5 (Happy 65th Birthday, Nancy!)
This geocache is placed in honor of the birthday of my friend, Nancy, who turns age 65 in the month of March (2019). There was a geocache that was placed in honor of Nancy’s 60th birthday - she loved it; she had just begun geocaching and was the cache’s FTF on her actual 60th birthday! That cache existed for 4 1/2 years and was found 116 times!
Sadly, last year, the geocache was archived because its home area became unavailable due to construction taking place nearby. I decided when I archived Nancy’s 60th birthday geocache that there would be a 65th birthday geocache to replace it! And here we are!
In the past 5 years, Nancy retired from her lifelong career and, among multitudes of other things, she was able to jump head first into her lifelong avocation: gardening! She loves it! When she isn’t outside in the spring, summer, and fall digging in the dirt and maintaining beautifully arranged plant and flower gardens (including some spectacular container gardens!), and sometimes working part-time at local gardening emporiums (they value her energy and expertise), Nancy is inside carefully researching her next project with seed catalogues and online surfing at many different gardening websites.
This geocache is placed to honor Nancy’s 65th birthday, her love of gardening, her delightful flower creations, and her sense of outdoor beauty. In recognition of Nancy’s March birthday (first day of spring [a sacred day for a gardener] is March 21), original swag shall be packets of flower seeds. Take a packet, plant the seeds at home, and think happy thoughts of birthdays, springtime, and good friends.
