Ok, this is a poll. Do you think just logging TFTC is rude? You are welcome to vote in your comment. When I first started geocaching I learned early on that TFTC means "Thanks For The Cache" and it was an acceptable log. Over time I heard some cache owners complain about TFTC, or copy and paste logs where the cacher posted the same thing by pasting a pre-written comment over and over, and other brief entries.
I was working in the Marshall, TX area at one point and got some caches after work. There is a great geocacher there called normasgirl with many hides in the area. I saw on some of her cache descriptions she had added something like this:
"The only enjoyment the placer gets from this cache is the log you write, so please tell me about your experience. TFTC is not very enjoyable, nor is seeing the same copy and paste time after time as you find my hides."
I have borrowed that and added it to some of my own hides. The light came on for me when I read it. I now try to at least say something about the cache, what brought me to the area, something other than TFTC or such.
So what do you think?
