Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Florida Finders Fest 2019 Spidey Geo-Art, brought to you by the Forest Minions! This Mystery cache is not at the posted coordinates. You must solve this rather challenging trivia question, to determine the location of the final. Happy hunting!

The spider species Misumenoides formosipes, commonly known as White-banded Crab Spider, belongs to the genus Misumenoides, in the family Thomisidae. This is one of the few spiders in North America that are capable of actively changing their body color from yellow to white, or vice versa, depending on the flower they are perched on. They do this by transferring a liquid, pigmented material to the cuticle. The color change is not instantaneous; it can take anywhere from three to nine days to complete.

This Organ Can Regrow Itself in Three Weeks

The Greeks had it right with Prometheus. This Titan was famous for creating mankind, but got in trouble with Zeus when he favored them over the gods. In Response, Zeus took away the secret of fire, but Prometheus stole it back. As punishment, he kept Prometheus on a stake and had an eagle eat this particular organ. The organ would regrow at night, leaving Prometheus at the bird’s mercy day after day. While a Greek myth, the regenerative properties of this story are true, doctors have found, except that it takes three weeks, not one day. Moral of the story? Don’t anger a god.
