Tzofim Wadi is a failed stream in northern Jerusalem. Its origin is Mount Scopus and hence its name. It descends on a deep channel, 1.6 km away and a 110 meter descent until it reaches Sorek River at the foot of the Ramot Alon neighborhood.
Today, the area around the streambed is part of the Jerusalem Park, along which a bicycle path is paved. The section around the stream is called Tzofim Stream Park.
The Tzofim Stream Park extends over an area of approximately 600 dunams, between the neighborhoods of Ramat Shlomo and Shuafat to the north, and Givat Hamivtar, Ramat Eshkol and Sanhedria extended to the south.
The restoration and development of the Tzofim Stream Park includes restoration of the riverbed, along which channels were rehabilitated and dams were rehabilitated to divert the rainwater, orchards were planted and recreation areas were set up for the visitors.
The park is intended for pedestrians and cyclists only, and there is no passage to vehicles.
For the benefit of the vacationers in the park, a bicycle track, playground facilities, shaded corners with picnic tables and drinking facilities were developed. As part of the development work, a bicycle and pedestrian path linking the Tzofim Stream Park with Arazim Park was paved.
The cache is placed next to a playground known as the "bridge parking lot" because next to it there is a bridge that runs over the stream.
נַחַל צוֹפִים הוא נחל אכזב בצפון ירושלים. ראשיתו בהר הצופים ומכאן שמו. יורד בערוץ עמוק, מרחק 1.6 ק"מ וירידה של 110 מטר עד למוצאו אל נחל שורק למרגלות שכונת רמות אלון.
כיום מהווה השטח סביב אפיק הנחל חלק מפארק ירושלים, ולאורכו נסלל שביל אופניים. המקטע סביב הנחל נקרא פארק נחל צופים.
פארק נחל צופים משתרע על שטח של כ- 600 דונם, בין שכונות רמת שלמה ושועפט מצפון ושכונות גבעת המבתר, רמת אשכול וסנהדריה המורחבת מדרום.
השיקום והפיתוח של פארק נחל צופים כולל שיקום של אפיק הנחל, אשר לאורכו הוסדרו תעלות ושוקמו סכרונים לתיעול מי הגשמים, ניטעו עצי בוסתן והוסדרו מוקדי נופש לקהל המבקרים.
הפארק מיועד להולכי רגל ולרוכבי אופניים בלבד ואין בו מעבר לכלי רכב.
לטובת הנופשים בפארק פותחו במקום מסלול אופניים, מתקני משחק, פינות מוצלות עם שולחנות פיקניק ומתקני שתייה. כחלק מעבודות הפיתוח נסלל מעבר לשביל אופניים והולכי רגל המקשר את פארק נחל צופים עם פארק ארזים.

המטמון נמצא בצד גינת משחקים המכונה "חניון הגשר" מכיוון שבסמוך אליה קיים גשר העובר מעל הנחל.
