In geocaching, GL stands for Ground Level.
But in this series I will introduce the legend that is transmitted to Gumma.

しかしこのシリーズでは群馬に伝わる地域伝承を紹介します。
A long time ago, a monk named it at the entrance of hell because the water of the river was red.
The nearby temple is scolded by an old woman who strips off clothes at the entrance to hell.
The cache was placed near the river.

昔、行基という僧侶が鉄分を多く含んで少し川の水が赤い事から地獄の入り口である三途川と名付け、老婆の像を残していった。
老婆像は奪衣婆という三途の川のたもとで罪深い死人から服をはぎ取る老婆をモデルにしたもので地域の人は
地元の人はこの像を尊び姥子堂（うばごどう）を作って祀っていましたが火事のため焼けてしまい現在は再興されたものとされています。
キャッシュは三途川の近くに設置しました。
近くの道路は二車線ですが国道です。
交通量が多いので注意してください！
