Geocache Description:


Beehive burners like the one you see here were used well into the 21st century to dispose of wood wastes for the hundreds of small sawmills that dotted the landscape. Federal regulations introduced in 1996 called for bee hive burners to be phased out but 20 years later they could still be found operating in a few british columbia locations; this one however has been a barn for quite some time. An interesting collection of chainsaws decorate the structure and it makes a lovely subject at sunset.
