Are you bored with 'same old / lame old' caches everywhere? Or are micros just what you Love Love LOVE - and the more the merrier!
What caches have you found recently that made you go Wow? Was it the location, the cache listing, the experience, or the people you found it with that made that find special?
What sort of caches would you like more of in Wellington and the surrounding area?
I wanted to give people a chance to get together, and talk, share stories, and swop ideas for what makes caches 'cool' and how we can hide (and find them) better.
To help the conversation flow, I've booked the Ngaio Scout Hall, so we have plenty of space to move around and chat. I'll provide Tea, Coffee, and Cordial, plus a large chocolate cake (Because everything is better with Cake, right?). Please bring other food to share.
We have time and space to move around, so lets make the most of it!
You're welcome whether you've found Four caches, or Forty Thousand... but you must sign the logbook to claim a Smiley for this event.
I also have another Motive: I was lucky enough to be selected to be an 'Ambassador' for the Aussie Geomuster in Wollongong - as there is no MEGA event in New Zealand this year, this is the closest we're going to get... I went to the one last year and had a great time, so I'd like let you know a bit about that MEGA as well - and I'll have a couple of goodies to give away from them as well!
As part of a 'State v State and Mate v Mate' competition, I've been offered the chance to create a North Island themed Labcache...to compete against the Aussie states, and the South Island.
I want to create the most awesomest Lab cache to represent the North Island of NZ at the Aussie Geomuster in Wollongong in 2019 - and I need your help - I have a couple of ideas, but I'm sure you'll have plenty more. We need something on the theme of the North Island, the Mainlanders' have their own Labcache to create.
And finally - just a word about access to the Scout Hall: Please use the Ngaio Station Carparks and walk along the platform to the Hall. The access road to the Scout Hall is narrow, twisty, and there is very little parking immediately outside. Use the Station Carparks! Or even better, use public transport!
