Geocache Description:

This cache invites you to visit the new GPD park recently opened to the public. It is not named after the Ray Bradbury novel but by it's former use.

As of now, the sign at the entrance says "Wicked Woods" as this 180 acre property was previously the Wicked Woods golf course until sold to the park district in November 2018 with the intent of restoring these lands to a more natural state. Expect the grass to be mowed to prevent invasive growth there until the park district has finalized plans for converting it to a protected space. Cart path names have not been determined and lack signage at this time but park patrons are welcome to explore existing cart paths and fairways at their leisure.

Expect a walk of about 2 miles depending on decisions you make along the way. After parking you will walk on the asphalt cart path, past the clubhouse and to a decision point where you have 3 choices:

- continue by way of the path to the left which has shorter, steeper terrain changes upon which the terrain rating was determined.
Dogs must be leashed at all times while visiting Geauga Park Properties. Park closes at 11 pm. - continue forward which has longer but gentler terrain changes
- continue by way of the path to your right and you are on your own!

The cache is not right on the path but during spring, fall, and winter the clue should be fairly easy to spot.

If you encounter thorns or ravines, you may need to re-think your approach. On a historical side note, this is the 71st geocache hidden by GPD and the first was hidden in Big Creek Park, Chardon, on 12/27/2002.

NOTE: Thanks to zoisrus for reporting that her phone's geocaching app included the cart paths in relation to the hiding spot.
