Das Naturschutzgebiet Schnaakenmoor liegt im Forstrevier Klövensteen am westlichen Rand Hamburgs im Stadtteil Rissen. Das Schnaakenmoor entstand vor circa 10.000 Jahren am Ende der letzten Eiszeit aus Schwemmsand des Elbe-Urstromtales. Das Schnaakenmoor wurde am 3. April 1979 unter Naturschutz gestellt. Die ofizielle Fläche vom Schnaakenmoor ist circa 100 Hektar. Unser Cache ist an einem Weg der zum Schnaakenmoor führt.

The protected area of Schnaakenmoor is situated in the Fortstrevier Klövensteen, at the west end of Hamburg in Rissen. Schnaakenmoor arose around 10.000 years ago at the end of the ice age from the alluvial sands of the ancient Elbe River. Schnaakenmoor is now under protection since 3. April 1979. The official size of Schnaakenmoor is aproximately 100 Hectares. Our cache is near of a trail that leads to Schnaakenmoor.
