This cache is located on a little known greenway in Alexandria.
As I was placing this cache, I met some people who had lived in the immediate area over 15 years and had never been on this path.
One of the things I like about Geocaching is that it brings me to places I may never otherwise discover...so I'd like to share this one with you.
Please observe the path rules: it is only open sunrise to sunset.
There is plenty of parking on the street in the area.
Might not be a bad idea to wear long sleeves/pants and bring gloves. Note that some folks are reporting getting to the cache may be sticky (tree sap). It didn't seem that way when I placed the cache, but of course these things can change based on many factors. Please come prepared. I may scout the area for a better location as well, but I'm constrained due to other caches in the area already.
Couldn't find any better locations. I'm going to leave the cache as-is since some folks have mentioned they enjoyed it. I think the difficulty and terrain ratings should cover the possible poison ivy, tree sap, frequent muggles, etc. If there wasn't any of that, the rating would be lower. I do walk over from time to time and kill some of the poison ivy.
Please don't try to remove the tether or detach the entire container from the tether.
