The Caves, Caverns and Sinkholes (CCS) geocaching series brings to your attention the various features of the limestone coast, and beyond. These karst are formed by erosion and dissolution of the limestone. Some of these features that contain water can be scuba dived with the appropriate qualifications.
Little Blue Lake is a water-filled doline, and is notable locally as a swimming hole and nationally as a cave diving site. It is managed by the District Council of Grant and has been developed as a recreational and tourism venue.
Diving wise, there is a lot of rubbish at the bottom, including a car wreck and many road signs. Water visibility is commonly poor.
CEGSA Cave Reference: 5L9.
Warning: The geocache has been placed in the cliffs above the lake. It has been placed in a reasonably stable position away from the eyes of muggle families, however take care with footings and holding on to rocks. It is still a reasonable fall to the lake if the rock gives way.
