Warning!... If
you are planning to do this cache between the 1st February and the
31st October there is now a £5.00 entrance fee and you must start
this at Howick Gardens.
If you plan to do this cache between
1st November and the 31st January there is no charge to get into
the grounds. The Spokes have no connection with the
gardens.
We have thought about moving this cache but feel that the people
who have been there have found it to be a brilliant place to visit
and perhaps those of you who love gardens will appreciate
them
Searching for this cache between 1st November and the 31st January
If approaching along the coast from the north you will pass a dig
which is supposed to be the earliest northern settlement
known.
If approaching from the west you have a lovely walk passing a
small lake and if you continue on after the cache you will come to
the coastal cycle path which is known as cycle route 1. Walk along
this path southwards and you will be rewarded with a wonderful
views and below unspoiled sandy bays.
