Another easy park and grab at a rest area on the West Coast of the North Island along State Highway 3 to Taranaki. This area is home to the Mohakatino Wetland Walk and is part of a Heritage trail. There afre a couple of picnic tables and plenty of off road parking.
Another reason to have a rest and learn about local heritage from the information board or take that walk to the wetlands. Orignial cache disappeared. Have replaced unfortunately only room for a logbook. GPS co-ordinates will be off now however have made this easy to find once you see hint. FTF Honours go to Blenheim Bear.
