The Dvorak Keyboard Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

SueDan83: GZ appears to be due to be cleared by Council. Barbed wire twisted around the fence post has rendered it unsafe.

Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES

The Dvorak Simplified Keyboard is a keyboard layout patented during 1936 by August Dvorak and his brother-in-law, William Dealey.

Dvorak proponents claim the layout requires less finger motion and reduces errors compared to the standard QWERTY keyboard arrangement. It is claimed that the reduction in finger distance traveled permits faster typing while also reducing repetitive strain injury, although that claim is controversial.

Although the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard (DSK) has failed to replace the standard QWERTY, most major modern operating systems allow a user to switch to the Dvorak layout. (Wikipedia)
