On 28 March 2019, the Major League Baseball season started with all 30 teams scheduled to play. It's the earliest start of a season in MLB history. 2019 also marks the 150th anniversary of the Cincinnati Red Stockings, baseball's first openly professional team. That team went undefeated. No one will go undefeated in 2019. That is probably the only sure thing as the season begins.
