Ganot is a moshav in central Israel, belonging to the Sadot Dan Regional Council. The settlement was established in 1950 by a group of discharged soldiers, but this attempt failed. The settlement was officially re-established in 1955 by the Rassco company, which absorbed residents from all over the country. Like many rural settlements in the center of the country, for most of Ganot's residents agricuture is not the main income. The name of settlement is derived from the book of Jermiah. ופתחה אולם ארועים על חוות סוסים בשם קזה דל סול. בשנת 2016 הוגשה תלונה על-ידי רשות מקרקעי ישראל, בטענה
שהמקום פועל על קרקע חקלאית. למרות שינוי השם, "בית בכפר" עדיין נמשך המשפט. נכד לאותה משפחה הוא טדי שגיא, אחד האנשים העשירים בארץ
