Welcome to Polperro a 13th century historic fishing village and much more! Polperro is one of the most beautiful villages in the country which has many grade 2 listed buildings. Smugglers have played a big roll in the village they even had there own money printed by a man named Zephaniah Job.
Fishing has always played a part in this historic harbour and Pilchards were caught and preserved in large quantities. Today’s fishing has changed somewhat with scallops being one of the main catches of the day.
Theres are many things to do in Polperro so allow plenty of time on your car parking ticket as you can quite easy spend a day here with all it has to offer !
