The 16th Annual Kearney Picnic
The lunch portion of the picnic will run from approximately 11:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 7th, 2019 and take place at the Fort Kearny State Recreation Area near Kearney, NE (in the shelter near campsite 69).
Nebraskache will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs and ask that you bring a side-dish or dessert to share with the others in attendance. Nebraskache will provide flatware, plates, buns and condiments.
After eating, there will be the presentations of the milestone awards (Click here to go to the Nebraskache Milestone Reporting Form) have raffle items, door prizes. There will be another round of a fun game< The Nebraskache 2019 Poker Run, involving game pieces found in new caches, and other activities!
We'll break for some geocaching in the afternoon and reconvene at 6:30 P.M. for a campfire (bring your comfy chairs and beverges) complete with cobbler at the same location. Always a good tale told around campfiles! Did I hear campfire s'mores??
Whether you are a newbie or a caching veteran, we invite you for a day of fun and quite possibly some geocaching!

Friday night: September 6 7:00PM-10:00PM

A fun gathering of wisdom, wit and horror stories. Each player will be give 3 minutes to tell everyone about their best, worst, funniest, horrific, spine tingling, sidesplitting, dumbest, cheesiest, medical, or law enforcement involved geocache. Time will be given if you have more then one story to tell. Cheese and crackers along with beverages some adult and some not will be provided. Please feel free to bring your adult beverage of choice and snacks to add to the mix. Please bring your own chairs.
Sunday morning: September 8 8:30AM - 9:30AM
cancelled -sorry, but sure thing next year! N 40° 39.298 W 098° 59.303 Large Pavillion shelter Bruce and Brenda Grubbs are bringing their pancake grill and will be preparing pancakes for us. Coffee will also be served. Come join us before packing it up for a fun-filled breakfast with more caching tales to be told. There will be a free-will offering. (Please add a note to let us know you are planning to come to breakfast and how many in your group for planning purposes)
Saturday evening: Don't forget the cobbler at 6:30 pm with a campfire and rumor of s'mores later!!
Don't forget to send in your caching achievement form to be recognized for your milestones. The deadline is a week from Saturday, August 24. There is a link to the form on the cache page.

The Nebraskache Poker Run is shaping up for after the picnic activities. Will start after 1 pm - more details at the picnic.
Also, don't forget to download the Adventure Lab app on your phones. There are ten lab caches in Kearney.
