Waystation
- A small railway station between the principal stations or a station where the train stops only on a signal.
- ---A service area--- or temporary lodging used during a longer journey.
A little further down highway 4 is this place. This place seemed peaceful and quiet. I started to think of this place and what this place represented not only to me but more importantly to my Great Grand Pappy Epeople
It seems that this is the actual location of an old waystation used by GGP during his time with the Corps of Discovery. You have to remember this was years ago and things have changed, but the river over there and the way the sun raises in the east over there. Yes, yes, in his journals which historians have studied and are beyond contestation, indicate that the river was named Big Muddy and in the journals boats would ferry cargo and foodstuffs north to Missouri and on the return trip would haul educational materials for the local folks down river. I don’t know the type of material shipped, all the journals indicated is that someone named Bud became wiser.
So in fond memories of my past teacher, my mentor, my Great Grand Pappy, here is this cache.
A regular sized cache with log book and plenty of room for swag items.
