'Burl Ives lives on' was the original cache hidden here. It was a carefully crafted wooden 'burl' with a small tube containing the log hidden inside and the whole thing was camoulfaged and attached to the tree you see adjacent to you. It had accrued 44 favourites to its name until it was stolen back in August 2021. I've tried to make a replacement but failed dismally so instead I've hidden another container about ten feet away from the original and adjusted the coordinates appropriately. I'm sorry you won't have the fun of finding proper 'Burl' any more but think of it and him as you search for this one.
It's a quiet service road although quite often busy with parked vehicles, usually lorry drivers having a snooze. There are occasional dog walkers too and a pretty big office complex a little further up the road but by and large you should be left undisturbed although currently there seems to be a permanent 'recreational vehicle' camped nearby.
You WILL need tweezers to extract the log. Please replace exactly as found to make it more fun for subsequent cachers. Enjoy!
