Geocache Description:

This is a very special place because the waikomo stream brings fresh water nutrients to the Hanakaape Bay. There is a peaceful waterfall but please be careful if it is raining because the stream can rise

Our son has been collecting seashells and other items from the shore and under the ocean for about three years and inside are some of the items he has found. .

Inside the container is about 40 items from Kauai. Please feel free to take one. See below if you want to try part 2.

Be careful and please place it in the exact same spot as we have friends across the road watching it.

It also is next to a beautiful stream. Please be “Pono”. Send the meaning of that word to us to finish the cache.

Pick up any trash you may see as this stream feeds directly into an important fishing bay which supports turtles , amazing reefs and an abundant amount of sea life. Turtles and fish will eat plastic. Please pick up any plastic!!.

Aloha and best of luck.

Update; the 2nd part is awaiting approval. Disregard part 2 for now. If you want to find Hanakaape Bay Cache, you must take a seashell found by the seashore from this cache and look for the Second Cache which is, much harder, but a lot more beautiful, turtles around and has a waterproof log book which no one has ever found, I swim by it daily. It is there, (not approved yet) easy to see on a clear day around 10am. If your up for part 2. Take a seashell and read the instructions about the yellow dirt road. FTF gets a special reward.
