My love of trains is recent, within the last 5 years. I came about it the long way. If you like trains and I run into you one day ask me. Hopefully I won’t bore you to tears. Most chicks I know are like ewww dirty freight trains. But not me. Bring on the dirt and all the cool stuff that goes with freights. Like monikers, graffiti, history, hiking etc. count me in.
This cache will bring you to a Pennsylvania Railroad (knicknamed the Pennsy)over pass that is just 10 years shy of its 100th birthday. What freight people call a old spur line or RIP track runs underneath but is now abandoned. According to a map from 1929 I found it was called the "Frankford Road Branch". To me that is weird cause it never comes near Frankford Ave. and Technically this is the Juniata section.
