Artemis: In Greek mythology, Artemis was the twin sister of Apollo and the daughter of Zeus and the goddess Leto. Artemis was the virgin goddess of the hunt, the moon, childbirth, and chastity. One day Artemis, after being beaten by Zeus’ wife, Hera, (who was jealous of Leto), climbed into her father Zeus’ lap and asked for several wishes. One of many wishes (including never being forced to marry) was that she wanted the Cyclops fashion her an enchanted silver bow and silver arrows, which would never miss their mark. Geocache placed here in honor of the silver of her bow and arrows, as well as the leafs on the trees in the forests where she ruled.
