Geocache Description:

Welcome to our first cache hidden since moving back to the area from Tennessee.  We have always wanted to place a night cache, but could never find the perfect location........until now!!!  We take a lot of pride in this cache, and hope that everyone enjoys the search as much as we enjoyed the placement.

Such as the case with any cache, this adventure contains several environmental hazards, so please be prepared for your time in the woods.  Cell signal is spotty here, and it is fairly remote.  There is a little bushwhacking, the potential for muddy conditions and a small stream crossing (shouldn't need to get wet, but my better half decide to test this theory several times!!!).  You most certainly will experience jaggers, probably cobwebs to the face and I am 100% certain you will adopt a tick or 10.  With all that being said, be safe and prepared for anything in the deep dark woods of Armstrong County.

Haven't scared you away yet?  Then head on down to the trailhead coordinates and have a look.  Please note I placed the tacks up high to avoid unintentional vandalizm to the cache.  As you head to the trailhead, you will see 2 horizontal tacks.  Walk to that tree and look left, and the adventure begins.  The "trail" is well marked, and there is no point that you will not be able to see the next tack from the location of the previous one at this point of the journey.  After making the treacherous hop over the raging trickle, you will make another turn to the left.  The next section of your trip will take you along a trail, which at points is pieces of the old road to the now submerged town below Keystone.  With a keen eye, you may spot pieces of an old foundation along the way.  At a point about 3/4 mile from your vehicle, you will come across 3 vertical tacks.  Do not pass this point, look around.  See what you see.  Follow your "chosen path" into the darkness and void.  Walk til you see a smile.  When you get your smile......turn around and.....EUREKA!!!!  You are looking for an ammo can, which contains some swag and a few trackables.  Hopefully you are here on a bright night, because the view is spectacular.  As you go to leave, there are a few tacks leading you back out of the abyss.  Once back on the trail, there are no return tacks until the turn back into the woods.  The way back is self explanatory up until this point, but please take your starting coords just in case.  At the point of return tacks, they are 2 tacks in a diagonal form, so not to be confused with the trail on the way to the cache.  Head back to the car, cherish the find and enjoy the lake.  Happy Hunting!!!
