As usual, the cache is not at the posted coordinates, but you can park there.
With temperatures warming and spring finally here, a lot of wildlife are starting to emerge from their dormancy. Of these critters, I especially enjoy hearing and seeing the frogs and toads of NJ. In the spring and early summer evenings, I find it quite relaxing listening to the chorus that plays around bodies of water and wetlands.
There are 16 species of frogs and toads found in New Jersey, including two state-endangered species. Most can be found throughout the state, but there are a handful that are limited to either North or South Jersey. You will soon become a bit more familiar with some of these species.
To solve the puzzle, you must watch/listen to a short (<3 minute) clip and determine the coordinates from there. The video can be viewed here.
The cache can be found at the following coordinates:
N40 (Rana virgatipes)(Rana sylvatica).(Pseudoacris crucifer)(Scaphiopus holbrookii)(Anaxyrus fowleri) W074 (Rana virgatipes)(Lithobates catesbeianus).(Hyla andersonii) (Hyla andersonii)(Rana sylvatica)
The cache isn’t too far from the parking lot, but it will require crossing a stream, hence the may require waders attribute. However, there are several ways to cross the stream without actually wading, just know your limits. If you’re lucky, you might even have a froggy encounter. Good luck.
