As a member of Friends of the Illinois Prairie Path, I would like to once again invite my fellow geocachers out to tidy up this trail that many of us have had the opportunity to enjoy. The Aurora Branch of the Illinois Prairie Path does not get the same level of care and attention as some other stretches. A CITO was held here 3 years ago so it’s about due for another one.
I coordinate this effort with a Friends of the Illinois Prairie Path board member who has noted that the CITOs over the past several years conducted by geocachers have been the most constructive efforts on these branches of the path.
The posted coordinates are for a parking lot that intersects with the Prairie Path. We'll start from there.
Remember to dress for the work as well as the weather. Please bring gloves and any grabber devices if you have them. Garbage bags will be provided for the collection of trash.
Everyone who attends will get a bottle of water, a souvenir from Groundspeak and a feeling of satisfaction for doing your part to clean up the environment.
