Geocache Description:

The original placement for this cache has a very special significance to me, as it was directly responsible for myself being out of work for a little over 3 months. When I heard that it had been achived... Well, I had to do something about it and, what better time to place it, but on April Fools day.

Below is the original log posted on 04/13/2013, that describes the event:

Out with Geo-dog Midian doing some caching along the "Niagara Escarpment" while my wife, the beautiful and talented "Mrs. Merc", is attending the "Ultimate Ladies Day" in Neenah.

This was our (Midian, The Geo-dog and I) last cache of the day. After what happened, it would have been anyway.

After assessing the situation, I selected the correct tool for the search from the well equipped cache workshop of Geo-Mobil 1. I selected the west entrance.

As I was walking down the embankment, I slipped on some ice hidden by the grass. I fell backwards, landing on my left elbow, driving my arm up into my shoulder. This was simultaneously followed by a loud "Crunching" sound and a substantial amount of pain, I might add. crying

With my now useless left arm is hanging limp at my side. I make the only possible decision that a hard core geocacher such as myself, could make. . . . .I continued in the search for the cache.

I entered the realm of the hide and soon spotted it. This area has an all too familiar feel to it. It brings back many a fond memory. wink It was difficult to open with one hand and I didn't want to drop it. I proceeded back out and opened the container in a safe area.

What's this??!!?? A blank log!!!?!! Well I'll be . . . .

F-T-F @ 1535.

I reentered the realm once again, replaced the cache as found and headed back to Geo-Mobil 1, where Midian , the Geo-Dog is waiting.

I had quite a time removing the tool and getting it and myself in the van, and . . . . driving home and then then to ER. What an adventure! Getting my fav point for sure.yes This should be a tribute cache. wink Thanks for placing it. (I think)

Huzzah! Huzzah !! Huzzah !!!!

P. S. Two hours in the emergency room, X Rays (no broken bones), possibly torn rotator cuff (will know in a week), Useless left arm in a sling, and pain moderated by quality medicine. What more could I ask for in a F-T-F.
