Geocache Description:


This cache is located in Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Arkansas. This cemetery is located on the edge of the Arkansas river. There are some beautiful views at the south edge of this cemetery next to the river, but be cautious of the bluffs and having your little ones near this area.


Hand it to me Alva


ONLY SEARCH FOR THIS CACHE DURING DAYLIGHT. This is a multi-cache consisting of two stages. Stage 1 is a virtual stage where you will need to obtain information to obtain the coordinates to the 2nd and final stage. The cache container only contains a log sheet. Please bring something to sign the log sheet with. When you find this cache please replace it as you found it so others can have the same caching experience. Please do not put any spoilers on either stage in your logs or photos.

Stage 1: the posted coordinates will take you to the area of the cemetery where you are looking for two headstones for Alva. That's right, I said two headstones. Here you should find a headstone for Alva's arm which he lost in a sawmill accident. The other headstone is for Alva when he died and was buried here 11 years after his arm.

Stage 2 (Final Stage): you will need to solve for the coordinates using information you can obtain from Alva's two headstones.

Y = The LAST digit in the YEAR Alva's ARM was amputated
Z = The LAST digit in the YEAR Alva was BORN MINUS 5.
