We are going to mix up the menu a bit this year and provide the following:
1) Bacon chops...thin pork chops with bacon pounded into them
2) Barnyard Burgers....chicken, bacon, cheese pressed into a patty
3) Plain Hamburgers
4) Heinkles Hot Dogs....these have won a state award....
5). Plain chicken breasts
If you would prefer to bring your own meat product, you can grill it yourself or have the grill-man take care of it for you.
The picnic will be June 1 at GE/Union Park in Bloomington. It is a privately operated park with great facilities. The event is indoors, ADA accessible, with air conditioning , electricity, indoor restrooms and WiFi. CIGA provides the meat, cooking and facilities at no charge.
We ask everyone to bring a side dish to share and bring your own drinks. To ensure a variety, if your caching name begins with A to M bring a vegetable (for example: baked beans, potato salad, macaroni, corn). All others, caching names beginning with N to Z or numbers bring fruit or dessert (for example: fruit salad, strawberries, jello, cookies, cake, pie).
