Este caché pertenece a una serie que quiero llevar a otras ciudades de Andalucía. La idea está tomada de cachés similares: Madrid at night GC6DXCB y Barcelona de nit GC80AFH que a su vez se inspiraron en Bristol at Night GC17M68 (creo que el más antiguo) o en el de Bruselas (Bélgica): Letters on the Wall GC5M5MG, ambos ya archivados. Se presta fácilmente al trabajo en equipo, tanto en la búsqueda sobre el terreno como desde casa llevando el control y los números. En su defecto puede ser una buena ayuda el método convencional de papel y lápiz.
Se trata de dar un paseo, preferiblemente nocturno, por alguna de las zonas más comerciales de la ciudad, buscando las letras con las que está compuesta la fotografía de arriba. Cada letra ha sido cogida de una palabra que forma parte de un nombre comercial. En el caso especial de Sevilla no predominan los luminosos nocturnos; he preferido aprovechar los nombres más clásicos, incluyendo piezas cerámicas, por ser pequeñas joyas de la tipografía artística tradicional que pocas ciudades conservan.
Las letras se inventaron para ser leídas, pero no me cabe ninguna duda de que pueden ser uno de los objetos visuales más bellos inventados por el ser humano. El diseñador gráfico analiza detenidamente el mensaje y selecciona, en relación a éste, una forma visual determinada que lo potencie. Así nace la tipografía creativa, el arte de comunicar mediante signos impresos. Y en las ciudades las letras están por todas partes, cientos, un ejército que nos rodea siempre dispuesto a reclamar nuestra atención con las más dispares intenciones.
Zona de paseo. He escogido un trazado que empieza en La Campana y recorre toda la Calle Sierpes hasta la Plaza de San Francisco. Rodeando el Ayuntamiento regresa por un tramo de la calle Tetuán. Abajo se puede ver el mapa con el recorrido marcado. Las letras no están en orden por lo que es indiferente dar el paseo en sentido contrario. Pero sí necesitarás hacer el recorrido completo porque en ambos extremos hay letras-palabras necesarias.
Solución. Una vez conseguidas las 14 palabras contaremos sus letras (solo la palabra, no todo el rótulo) y así tendremos los números necesarios para encontrar las coordenadas que confirmaremos en el Certitude. En el caso de que veamos la misma letra en dos palabras del mismo nombre comercial tomaremos la primera de las palabras. Por ejemplo si vemos la “a” en General Óptica apuntaremos: General = 7. La LL se contará como dos L: Sevilla = 7.
Fórmula final
X = Suma todas las letras de las 7 palabras que forman SEVILLA.
Y = Suma todas las letras de las 7 palabras que forman AT NIGHT y el resultado lo multiplicas por 10.

This cache belongs to a series that I want to take to other cities in Andalusia. In the special case of Seville, nocturnal lights do not predominate; I preferred to take advantage of the most classic names, including ceramic pieces, for being small gems of the traditional artistic typography that few cities conserve.
The letters were invented to be read, but I have no doubt that they can be one of the most beautiful visual objects invented by humans. The graphic designer carefully analyzes the message and selects, in relation to it, a specific visual form that enhances it. This is how creative typography was born, the art of communicating through printed signs. And in the cities the letters are everywhere, hundreds, an army that surrounds us always ready to claim our attention with the most disparate intentions.
Walking area. I have chosen a route that starts at La Campana and runs through Sierpes Street to Plaza de San Francisco. Surrounding the City Hall, it returns along a section of Tetuán Street. Below you can see the map with the marked route. The letters are not in order so it is indifferent to take the walk in the opposite direction. But you will need to make the complete journey because at both ends there are necessary letters-words.
Solution. Once the 14 words have been obtained, we will count their letters (only the word, not the entire label) and thus we will have the necessary numbers to find the coordinates that we will confirm in the Certitude. In the case that we see the same letter in two words of the same business name we will take the first of the words. For example if we see the "a" in General Optics we will point: General = 7.
