Geocache Description:


The Bottrel General Store opened for business in 1901. The hamlet of Bottrel is named for Edward Botterel an early settler who arrived here in 1888. The post office that was here (1909-1969) misspelled the name and it was never corrected. The Bottrel General Store is a registered Alberta Heritage site.
