Geocache Description:

Coolbunbin Creek is a small stream located in the Gold Coast Hinterland. It runs between Nerang Conservation area, Crane Creek and finally into The Nerang River. It's flows by The Historic Rivermill, Silkwood Independent School, The Advancetown Hotel and Nerang-Murwillumbah Road. It was once upon a time the home of platypus and is still the home of fresh water crayfish, echidna and wallabies. In times of heavy rains it becomes a fast moving small river - totally belying it's tranquil nature. This peaceful little waterway is serving as a bulwark against the advancing suburbs of the Gold Coast. There are many quiet spots to delight in its rippling serenity - this is one of them. Stop and enjoy this little spot or take a tour between Nerang and Murwillumbah and pick up many interesting caches along the way. This one shouldn't be too difficult and is large enough for many swaps. It is a great resting place for travel bugs wishing to be transported between Queensland and New South Wales or further into the Gold Coast Hinterland. You can park just off Shepherd Hill Lane in a little vehicle zone and follow this with a short walk into the bush. No need to jump the barbed wire fence. Congratulations reezielou and krcamber joint FTF :)
