Hobbit visit Moa (Nelson/Marlborough)
On Takaka Hill (also known as the marble mountain) are the Ngarua Caves.
Here you can get – 3 for 1!
- Moa: Look out for the moa bones (including an entire skeleton) found in the cave. In the garden you can see a sculpture of a Moa and you can take a cool picture of you and the Moa.
- The Hobbit (III.): This area was also a film set for “The Hobbit“, part three.
- Ngarua Caves: The caves are a weird and wonderful spectacle, with millions of stalactites dripping in the limestone roof above.
