Geocache Description:

Two-part virtual cache.

NOTE: This one may take some hiking to find the information needed but you will need to drive to that site.

I stumbled across this spot while searching for another cache. I have always wondered why things like this were placed many years ago. Did they really think that people would make a special trip just to see it? Or, as they are riding by in their carriages/buggies/etc, one of the kids would yell "Oh! There's a historical marker! Can we stop? PLEASE! PLEASE! I'll feed and milk the cows for a month. PLEASE! PLEASE!"

To make this more interesting, you will need to cross the river and tell me how old the trees were when this marker was placed. Extra points if you can provide some historical information about this marker. E-mail your answers, don't post them here even if encrypted.
