Do you get excited when you notice that a cache is located at specific coordinates? If so, then this series of geocaches is for you!
Most of the time, cache owners find a great place to conceal a container, and then obtain the coordinates for the hide. This series of caches is NOT one of those situations. All of the geocaches in this series have been hidden with the intention of helping you discover one of Welland’s secret claim’s to fame: it’s location on the 43rd line of latitude! It may not be a remarkable number, and there may not be signs celebrating its presence, but I hope this series can change that. Every cache in this series that you find will help you uncover the invisible line that crosses through the city.
Chippawa Park
Chippawa Park is one of Welland's most popular parks. The large pond, rolling hills, mature trees, and beautiful gardens make it a great place to enjoy nature within the city. It also offers many recreational activities, including baseball, volleyball, lawn bowling, two playgrounds, and a splash pad. In the winter, Chippawa Park is a popular destination for toboganning and ice skating.
