in our disclaimer.
A literal drive-thru virtual cache. Think of it as an easy pick-up on your way to one of Atlanta's more challenging geocaches.
This is a uniquely decorated tunnel in a neighborhood that is trying to revitalize itself. Drive thru. Enjoy the artwork. You don't even have to leave the car.
To claim the find:
Please e-mail us the height clearance of this tunnel. And if you happen to notice the date that is carved into the stone at the top and end of the tunnel, that would be nice too. The date on one end is different than on the other. Either is fine. Don't post answers here, even if encrypted.
As a sidenote:
When you leave the south end of the tunnel, look West and you will see the famous Cotton Mill (now condos)at the end of the road. You may remember it caught fire a few years back during renovation and a crane operator was stuck near the height of the smoke stack with giant flames just below him. A firefighter was lowered from a helicopter by a cable or rope and both were whisked off to safety.
