Our first cache named "Sky Liquid" was placed at the old water tower in Airdrie, Alberta. You've probably seen it as you drive past Airdrie on the Number 2 highway. We think these old relics are quite interesting and definitely give the towns of Alberta a distinctive look, so we plan on placing a few more at different locations and making "Sky Liquid" a series.
This is another interesting style of water tower, different from both Airdrie and Gleichen. Unfortunately we couldn't find much history on Arrowwood's water tower, so if you happen to have any information about it, feel free to post it in your log! Interestingly, if you are driving North from Arrowwood, at a certain point you can also see the water tower in Gleichen, just North of the Bow River.
You may want to be a little stealthy with this hide, as the whole area is right near the downtown of Arrowwood. Obviously there is no need to cross over the fence surrounding the water tower.
We hope you find these relics of a bygone era as interesting as we do!
