Questa è una delle sette cache che troverete percorrendo il "Sentiero Azzurro Orientale" dalla partenza ( N 45° 57.719  E 008° 27.534 ) al bivio ( N 45° 57.340 E 008° 28.641 ), che poi riscende sulla provinciale oppure prosegue verso Bieno. Il sentiero, in periodi piovosi, potrebbe essere poco percorribile a causa di ruscelli che creano qualche difficoltà nel loro attraversamento. Completando questo percorso avrete anche l'opportunità di raccogliere i dati necessari per risolvere la relativa mystery GC86C06 Sentiero Azzurro Orientale.

I muschi sono piccole piante prive di tessuti specializzati per la conduzione di acqua e soluti appartenenti alla divisione Bryophyta, che conta circa 10.000 specie diffuse in tutto il mondo, principalmente nelle aree boschive e lungo i corsi d'acqua, dove prevalgono l'ombra (sciafilia) e l'umidità. Sono caratterizzati da assenza di radici, possiedono solo rizoidi con cui si attaccano al substrato, fusti poco sviluppati e strutture fogliformi, e tendono a svilupparsi orizzontalmente in modo da restare in contatto il più possibile con le superfici da cui traggono le sostanze di cui hanno bisogno. Il muschio persiste anche nelle regioni più fredde, assimilando grandi quantità di CO₂ ed è in grado di resistere anche a grandi periodi di siccità. La sua composizione compatta e spugnosa permette al muschio di assorbire e trattenere grandi quantità di acqua, che rilascia successivamente in maniera graduale e lenta attraverso il suolo, procedendo ad irrigarlo spontaneamente. Inoltre ha la funzione cardine di assorbire l’inquinamento circostante. Nelle regioni montane e polari, il muschio viene lasciato crescere spontaneamente senza eliminarlo, perché protegge il terreno dagli sbalzi di temperatura, per questo è usato per coprire i tetti negli antichi edifici rurali del Nord Europa; inoltre previene l’erosione.  Infine si asciuga velocemente e può essere utilizzato per accendere il fuoco, perché si infiamma facilmente.
